Macomb County Warrant Records Macomb County Warrant Records

Most warrant questions in Macomb County belong with a court or the Sheriff's Office, not with this site. The routing below sends each kind of request to the office that actually holds the record: the District Court clerk for a case file, the 16th Circuit Court or Friend of the Court for felony and support matters, the Sheriff's Records Office for agency records, and the jail for custody and bond. Read this page first, then call the number that matches the question.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, we cannot clear or recall one, and we do not hold case files, reports, or booking records. A message sent to this site will not reach a court or a sheriff's deputy, and no one here can act on a case.

Here is where the questions most Macomb County readers ask are actually answered.

  • The court on your paperwork. Each of the ten District Courts keeps its own misdemeanor, traffic, and felony probable-cause files. Call the criminal or traffic division of the court named on the citation or notice and ask what the docket shows. The county District Court directory lists every court, address, and phone number.
  • Felony matters after bindover. The 16th Judicial Circuit Court is at 40 North Main Street in Mount Clemens and answers at 586-469-7171, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Its case lookup is at 16th Circuit Court case lookup.
  • Child-support enforcement. The Friend of the Court handles a support bench warrant in person, on the second floor of the Old County Building at 10 North Main Street. The office sees walk-ins Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and does not handle these matters by phone.
  • Sheriff's Office records. The MCSO Records Office is in the main lobby at 43565 Elizabeth Road, Mount Clemens, MI 48043. Written requests go to records.mcso@macombcountymi.gov. Counter hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the office is closed daily from noon to 1:00 p.m. Requests must be in writing, and fees, redactions, and exemptions under Michigan law can apply.
  • Custody and bond. The jail and bond line is 586-307-9612. Have the inmate name, inmate number, case number, and bond amount ready. The Sheriff's general line is 586-469-5151.
  • Charging review questions. The Prosecutor's Warrant Division reviews criminal investigations submitted by local police agencies. Its public line is 586-469-2530 and its email is warrants@macombgov.org. The office reviews charges rather than answering status questions about a court file.

Court staff can explain procedure and read what a file shows. They cannot give legal advice, and an attorney is the right person for a question about how to answer a charge, file a motion, or argue bond.
